Swapped heater core-now dome lights won't go off!
2001 Blazer, 4WD, 4.3L V6.
so pleased me and father-in-law swapped out heather core in a day - and now the dome lights won't go off when you close the door, have to hit Dome Override button. Also, remote locks no longer work.
When re-installing dash, there was one wire on the passenger side behind glove box we could not find a mate for anywhere. It was a red, 4-pin inline plug. Looked everywhere, removed the dash again, nothing. Neither of us could recall having disconnected it in the first place, and we could find no where in range of the wire that it could connect. Thought perhaps this plug was for some sort of option this car doesn't have. This may or may not be related to the dome lights/remote locks problem.
Any suggestions? Your input is greatly appreciated!

don't know about that unplugged pigtail. But as far as the dome lights. It seems one of your door switches is not being pushed to the right amount. Try unplugging each one to see which side is the culprit. There is such a small line between the switch being activated and it not, that a slight shift in the dash placement could make a difference.the thickness of a nickle was the difference between mine not turning the lights off and working.
