Astro van 1997 high rpm problem
Hi guys,
In my astro van have a very peculiar problem, the when i start the engine the rpm get high (like 1500-2000), i replaced recently: Fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plugs wire, tps, iac, maf sensor, i check error code i get P0134 and P1886, i check the o2 sensor and the wire and i also take this to dealer and he reprogramming the PCM when he do this and when i disconnect the minos cable from the battery and connect again this Resolved the problem but after few days it's back again.
Have idea?

You could have three different and distinct issues going on:
1. Do you notice if the high idle seems to settle back down at a certain engine temp every time? How long does the high idle last? Could be a vacuum leak that is sealing as the engine heats up and expands sealing the leak.
2. Code P0134 could be an issue with the circuit integrity such as a wiring problem or even a PCM problem.
3. Here is a link to a good thread on this forum concerning P1886 that you might want to check out: https://blazerforum.com/forum/engine...olenoid-23807/

[QUOTE=rockp2;673976]You could have three different and distinct issues going on:

How long does the high idle last? All the time
I don't think this is a vacuum leak that when I disconnect the minus and returns it goes and comes back after a few days
