Anyone familiar with the Acura Legends? Front wheel drive, engine sits like it's rwd with the front diff under it. One of the worst cars as far as engine bay room. Alternator on that was ridiculous.

1998 VW beetle - headgasket and oil pan.
200X VW Passat
19XX VW Jetta

I've nicknamed VW's as Satan's Charriots!

Then I guess I have to add the Blazer.......

s10s just kidding

for me its usually anything chrysler, they always have crap in front of crap in front of crap the older intrepeds, sebrings, or any other car that style is always a mess . and yeah vw/audi are pretty bad. had to do a oil cooler on a 2010 jetta yesterday which involved tearing half the engine apart and the whole engine is made up of extremely brittle plastic. surprisingly nothing broke, had it been like a 2005 im sure everything would have broke, half the time you pull the dipstick out the tubes snap in half.

i hate everything equally. i see how crappy most these new cars are built and not going to buy anything newer then a 95 as long as i can help it, gets you out of emissions too

i can honestly say chevys are usually the easiest to work on except for a few models like the chevy venture. i own a 86, 90 and 93 and theres really nothing you cant fix with basic tools and a little googling

My first car. 1979 fiat X/19 Loved that car. All of the glass tube style fuses had been replaced with similar size bolts. The battery was always dead but it push started very easily. Every shop I pulled into said "get that pos out of here before it dies".

Anybody else notice that mostly foreign cars are mentioned in this thread?

I was beginning to see that pattern as well. I use to do a lot of side jobs, and lately it's just been favors for family and friends. I typically try to shy away from imports.

I spent an hour and a half trying before I finally had to fab my own tool out of a wrench. Still stumped about it. Not sure if there was different steering shaft put in or what.

The new Steering Colum is so easy to take off. I always mark it and do not move car or Steering wheel. Slide it toward Driver - go in thru the wheel well and take that spark plug out in minutes.

My intermediate shhaft was seized up. I ran into that issue on a malibu once replacing the electronic steering motor and torque angle sensor. Took 2 hours, 4 cans of pb and a mini sledge. I didn't want to fiddle with it lol.
