Default U joint adapter help needed!!!

Hi everyone, new member here, love my blazer and will post a build thread soon.

Not sure if this is where I want to post this but...need assistance

I am in the middle of a rear end swap, putting a 2 door 2003 ZR2 rear end into a 4 door 1996 Blazer, actually it's a GMC Jimmy. I have had no issues except that the u joint from the 1996 jimmy's driveshaft is smaller than the one from the ZR2. So as you can imagine there is play in the yoke on the new rear diff. Has anyone done this swap and run into this problem? There must be a u joint adapter or a u joint with different size caps for the yoke/shaft, and if you know of it, please give me a part number or the name of a company that makes them. I really don't want to swap the yokes on the diffs. okiedoak20 was mentioned in a post as having used an adapter u joint, but I have searched this forum and found no other info on it.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

they do sell combination u-joints. if no one replies with a answer try doing some googling and finding out the cap size for both vehicle and then try to get a u joint that has both sizes on it.

i know some local parts stores do sell the combination joints but trying to get them guys to find anything that isnt on the computer is like pulling teeth. i had to use one on a old 84k5 blazer when i put 3/4 ton axles under it. part number was 3-3130 at autozone but doubtful its going to be the same one you need

Thanks for the reply, I found a guy in town who does combination u joints. You're right, the local parts store guys could not find any info on this. Once I get the part number, I will post it in case some one else needs the info.
