Strap. They don't cause damage to trees when you have to wrap around them. And they don't cause damage to people or vehicles as much when they break.

definitly straps because i have witnessed a chain snap and smash through someones front grill and crack the radiator. if someone was standing there they would have been seriously hurt. straps dont kill!

Straps definitly. A good snap strap acts kinda like a rubber band, allowing a good jerk, absorbing some of the impact and then using that elastic energy to aid in the recovery. Way better and safer than chains. Easier and lighter to carry too.
