Default street driving after wheelin-bad trip

well, been wheeling alot lately in ohio here, had a 4x4 trip with the school i go to then 2 mudbogs 2 weeks in a row. well didnt know i had a torn CV joint. well this past weekend i drove the 600 mile trip home to philly, when 15 miles into pa i had the right front CV shaft lock up on me at 70mph. just let me say, yall dont want that to happen. scared the **** outa me. well, pulled over, took tire off, loosened axle nut, broke balljoints apart and took out the shaft. pulled theshaft apart to put the one end back into the axle so oil doesnt leak out, then sat there with my 5lb BFH and smashed the other end apart so i could put it back threw the bearing. reinstalled the ends and put everything together. 1/2 hr later we are back on the rd, and went 75 mph the rest of the way no problems.

only downside, i aint got a core return on the axle shaft now.

OUCH!!! Sorry about the bad luck, but it's good you knew how to get back on the road quickly without breaking something that wasn't already broken.

Well, atleast it didn't side line you for long. Sounds like you've had quite a bit of fun over the past few weeks.
