What are you referring to when you say "play" after the installation?

Oh, alright. I'm pretty sure that for the second gen S-series, they only have a 2 inch BL. That doesn't mean that you can't make larger pucks fit, but at 2 inches, you don't have a to change anything, just re-route a few things to make some extra room. At least, thats what I ran into during the installation of mine. Hope that helps!

Don't forget bumper brackets - with a 2" bl & like Red said it doesn't mean you cannot put a 3" bl in. Just be ready for bumpers at stock height & possibly lengthening gas filler tube, lower fan shroud will be gone, bottom rad hose will be close to stretched to max.
I know this because the 2002 LS I got 3 years ago had a 1st gen 3" bl installed. I saw all this AFTER I got it. Only real issues are the bumpers at stock height (bumper brackets for a 2nd gen with a 3" bl are non existant) & the lower fan shroud.
Everything else (so it seems) stretched/fit.

Just think of what's attached to the body & what's attached to the frame. Take a look around the blazer... what's attached to the frame has to have enough give to make up for the body lift. That PLUS what's attached to the suspension?! Brake lines, wiring harnesses...
