bucket seats in rear?
is there anyway to put bucket seats in my 2001 4 door chezy blazer? I would think that i would need to have brackets welded right? And i have a 60/40 bench seat in the front that I would like to swap for bucket seats and center console.

Anything is possible with time and $$$.

x2 on that time and money.
personally i would research it hard core and DIY. A shop would probubly tear up your wallet on that.

You should not have any trouble with the law, but you may want to check with your local DMV first.

i dont see why the DOT would say anything. Whats the difference between buckets in the back vs captain buckets in the rear of a van.

how peculiar, i have bucket seats and center console i'd like to trade for the 60/40 bench seat and lose the console.

I got fold down ranger seats infront of my rear gate on my K5, I ALWAYS get pulled over when people sit back there when the roof is off. it takes a bit of explaining... seats are bolted, proper seat belts blah blah blah. usually i get the same answer 'it dosen't matter, you can't sit in the box of a truck'... 'but officer, it isn't a truck, it's a 2 dr station wagon and doesn't have a box' as I stick my hand out the side proving there is no back to the cab 'it's a blazer'
then they let me go haha. moral of story, as long as the seats are safely secured and your using proper rated fasteners to withstand the force of an accident(be it welding or bolting..), there is no reason for dot or anyone to say anything about it. I passed my VI with those seats...
