Default 1992 Chevy S10 Spare Tire Carrie

i have a spare tire carrier and the retainer clips mysteriously disappeared and lost the bottom bushings, im happy the pins didnt fall out and the whole damn thing came off. i got the pins and after using a set of dial calipers to measure them theyre still in great shape. my question is, where do i get the bushings and retainer clip? i went to my local gm dealer and the guy there was a total douchebag and said he couldnt get them since they were "discontinued". are the bushings the same as the newer blazers spare tire carriers? also the retainer clips, are these just average clips i can get at pep boys? is there a good looking alternative? ive seen guys using big bolts and nuts with washers, looks ugly if you ask me.

Default Spare Tire

An alternative is to just get rid of the spare tire. Isn't that what "cell phones" are for now? If you need to go on a long trip, find a space saver spare from a 96/97 Blazer 4-door and throw it in the cargo area. They don't take up much room.

i checked LMC and didnt see anything about the spare tire carrier, i did order a catalog because i did see some small things id like to replace my truck and maybe look through that, but the site didnt show any parts for the spare tire carrier. i did a google search and it gave me a part number and such but ive seen the number given to guys with new blazers with the newer spare tire carriers. so i think im goin to order them and see.
