Hello I'm new to forum, I have a 1999 4DR Blazer LS with a hole on the back side of the Center console. Can anyone tell me what goes there ?

there is a crappy little plate that goes there. It looks like it should be a rear seat ash tray, but it's just a square () mine was on the carpet INSIDE my console and I never found it until i pulled the console out... dont know it's purpose, but there you go...

All I can think of was the GM was planning on either rear audio controls or rear AC at one time and that was gonna be the place for that.
