so im fresh to this forum so i apologize if im putting this in the wrong spot or whatever haha. but anyway im sure many of you 2 door owners have dealt with the rust on the panel infront of the rear tires. i did both sides about 2 years ago with bondo. then decided to coat the whole bottom layer in plastidip, to further hide the issue. this worked great, i like the way it looks and it held up well on the passenger side. but the driver side was much worse and ive had to patch it up and re paint a few times and im afraid there just isnt enough metal left for bondo. so i guess what im asking is what are my options. ive heard of fiber glass for this type of stuff but is it any different then what bondo can do? i dont wanna spend body shop money. but if i have to i suppose its ok as i would like my hood re painted. (another issue ive seen with particularly black chevys around this year) but if that is indeed my only option what can i expect to spend?

Your only real option is to cut and replace with new sheet metal. like newguy said. lmctruck.com sells replacement sheet metal.

Otherwise doing anything else you are just putting a bandaid over it.
