Default Rear hatch - Should it open by itself?

To rear top hatch, should that open up all the way when I press the button on the dash?

it should just pop the window so when you walk back there all you have to do is pull it up.

That's what I thought and what mine does. Any way to make it go all the way up? Any addon parts?

You could buy a remote actuator to lift the window open when pressed...

http://www.topsdown.com/New-top-lift-cylinder-p151.html
I know the above link is an expensive version of this concept...
But if you've seen the rear hatches on camaros... when the button is pressed the entire back hatch lifts... you would only need to fabricate custom mounting hardware to make this kit work... I'm sure there are many other versions of these actuators around that could be fairly cheaper....

Hope that helped at all...

Also the above is probley not the one you want since it is hydralic... You would be looking for an Electric Actuator of course.... hope it will shed a few ideas on what you could accomplish...
