Default Rear tire carrier pin removal?

So after being so excited upon purchasing some new bushings for the tire carrier on my ZR2, I cannot get the pins out for the life of me. I took the tire off and tried wiggling the hinges, but no luck. I even let the pins soak in some pb blaster for hours. Also I snapped some torx bits when I tried to remove the 6 bolts holding the hinges on, they just wont budge! Does anyone have any advice to to get those damn pins out? Ive tried hammers, air chisles, pry bars and I couldnt get a thing to budge.
