He posted a link to a cam that I was looking at, until I read "adjustable valve train required". I was hoping he would solve that problem for the rest of us.

Could you let us know your before and after gas mileage?

combo city and highway, went from 14 to 15 mpg

Cured the timing issue, skip white.

The cam retard was corrected by popping off the clamp(without removing the the dist) and using a dremel I modified the hole to get it to dead 0. To remove clamp, take bolt out and with a long flat head screwdriver you can pop off the clamp. Quick job. And also, put some thread lock or a lock washer on the bolt when reinstalling. Ask me how I know LOL

so after correcting the cam retard 2 new o2 sensors and a new map sensor along with cleaning the maf and egr I am bow getting 17 mpg highway. that works for me. truck runs fantastic also
