Default Went to the track tonight

It was me and a couple of guy from my Auto Tech class. We went to what use to be Red River Raceway tonight. Its called The dragstrip @ Thunder Road now. Quickest time of the night was a silver 69 Camaro with black stripes that ran a 7.88@174! Only one wreck. A pinto snapped both axles and slid 180* into the wall. One of the tires ran a 16.?? at like 21mph lmao. There were a few first gen S10's that were pretty f'in quick...9's and 10's IIRC

I didn't to all that bad. Better than I expected from a Blazer with 161k miles and low compression on BFG Radial T/A's. My best run was:

60'......2.268
330'....6.531
1/8......10.095
1000.....
1/4......15.883
MPH.....84.40

Sounds like fun!

Not a bad time either for a slightly modified poor running Blazer either.

I wouldn't say it runs poorly. I still get 17.8mpg avg out of every tank. My compression may not be as low as I think. It's only one cylinder that's lower than the rest. When I did the test, for each cyl, I only let it turn over 3 times before I checked the gauge. Most people I've talked to said I should let it turn over 4 or 5. Even at 3, I had ~120 psi except for cyl 4, which had 85 or so.

It runs like a raped ape. Feels better than it did when I got it at around 95k miles.

Nope, no tune. That's next on the list. I'm guessing PCMforless.com is the way to go?

According to the four or five hp estimators I used, I'm hopefully getting between 180-190 to the wheels. That may be wishful thinking, though.

That with the k&n, 2.5" mandrel dynomax catback, and cat replaced with 2.5" test pipe. Brand new AC Delco ignition(dissy, cap and rotor, coil, plugs, and wires), brand new updated mpfi spider ass'y, and a brand new fuel pump.
