I am going to replace the fuel pump in my 96 blazer, 4.3, 4x4. Anyone recommend using a brand that has been good to you. I am between ac delco and delphi i guess, I hear the airtex is garbage and not worth trying to go cheap. I haven't seen alot of specs so I don't know if there are any noticeable differences between the brands so any personal knowledge would be helpful. Thanks

I just ordered whatever brand it is that LMC Truck sells. I just got it last week, and I'm installing it next week, so I don't have any idea what the quality of it is.

I dropped my tank to check a possible leak, I accidently broke the plastic nipples on the fuel lines. Well after taking the pump out I noticed it was an Airtex model. That might explain why it sounded like a jet engine in the tank when I had less than a 1/2 tank of gas. I went to my friend that has a parts Blazer and pulled the tank on it. The tank is junk but it has a nice pretty AC fuel pump in it. So I snagged it, putting the 2 side by side the build quality is very noticeable. The AC pump is built a lot better. Hopefully it will be a lot quieter.

If you will spend just a litle time reading the very many posts we have here concerning fuel pumps you will see that either AC/Delco or Delphi are the way to go. I think they both have been used as OEM in Blazers and either should be fine for you. Any other brands have shown to eventually be trouble.

AC Delco and Delphi are both GM companies. At least they were before the Government took over.....I say stick with the OEM on things like this. Replaced mine earlier this year at 112K. If the new Delphi pump lasts as long as the one I took out, I'll never do it again!
