Default 98 2 door back window not opening

My wife has a 98 2 door 4x4 blazer that she got rear ended in a while back. at the time didn't notice any damage, tire still opened and let it go unreported (i know. big mistake )

Today she goes to open the back window for the first time and the rear release doesn't release the window (didn't think to make sure that still opened). it is the tailgated version (dont know if the 2 door came in a liftgate).

is there any way to get it open from the inside manually?
