ZR2 rear end???

You actually don't have to do the m.c. and prop valve... they work just fine: http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f13/dr...how-to-167132/ The ZR2 rear is 4" wider than a non-Z rear end. From the factory, your rear track is 2.6" shorter than your front track, so with a ZR2 rear, your rear end will now stick out .7" more on each side, relative to the front end.

Well, for someone looking to upgrade the rear end, and not have to worry about spacers, the ZR2 axle will help the look! lol

Probably gonna have to move or buy new spring perch's though...

What about the driveshaft? I did some more searching and it looks like the driveshafts are different lengths. Is this true?

I don't think so, but it's possible, due to the extra height...

The wheelbase is the same, it's just wider, so it leads me to be a no...

Measure twice and cut once.




Remember that you have a lsip yoke in the t-case. Depending on how much of a difference there is you may not need another driveshaft. I would think the ZR2 would have a longer pinion then a 7.65.

Just take the driveshaft with you when you get the ZR2 axle, just in case... They'll probably only charge ya like $20 for it, lol.


If you don't need it... You just aquired a nice fireworks launching tube...
