2000 Blazer 4x4 - About to replace ball joints...what else while I am at it?
2000 Blazer 4x4, 4dr, 140k miles, mostly highway driving.
Have had a few inspections during oil changes, they say ball joints need to be replaced. Purchased MOOG per recommendations here.
I am wondering while I have it apart if I should be doing anything else to save me from having to rip it apart again in 6 months...
Was considering doing the brakes and new rotors (local parts shop has new rotors for 25$)
Shocks?
Tie Rod Ends? (Seems fine now)
Thanks in advance,
J

when i did my balljoints i also did inner and outter tierods with new sleeves and the idler arm...
with these parts replaced, you can do the alignment once and your good to go. if you just do balljoints then you get an alignment, and then do tie rods then you have to do alignment again.
if the cash is available id do upper and lower BJ's-inner and outter tierods and idler arm... pads and rotors too since your there IF needed... other than that brakes are easy shocks are too, but the steering components would need some love i would think

Gotcha, where do you recommend to buy the tie-rods? I bought the balljoints from Rock-Auto.
