Default 2000 Blazer Rear Diff Cover with Fill Plug?

Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a rear differential cover out there that will fit a 2000 Blazer (non-G80) that has a fill plug.

The plug on mine is seized and rounded out. I've filled through the drain vent but that takes forever.

It's about time to drain and fill again, and I'd rather just add a rear diff cover that has a drain hole. Heckuva lot less bother than drilling the seized one out, and easier to get to besides.

Any help?

Thank you,

Josh

The same thing happened to me. When I go to do it again my plan was to drill out the center of the rounded plug and tap it with probably a M14X1.75 hex head oil drain plug. To answer your other question, no they do not make one for the non g80 Blazers.

TA Performance TA-1809 Girdle Cover TA Performance TA-1809 Girdle Cover
- Pricey, but has what you want.

Or buy a
new steel cover new steel cover
and add your own fill port to it. Much cheaper, but only if you know someone that would weld it up for you. If you go this route, just match the height of the original fill plug on the axle center section with the bolt holes to make sure the level is correct.
