Default Replaced Front Schocks

I just replaced the front shocks on my 2000 GMC Jimmy 4X4. I decided to purchase Monroe Reflex Monotube from Rock Auto. Changing them was a bit of a pain. I took of the wheel on each side and removed the upper and lower bolts with a combination of an impact gun and air ratchet. Getting the old shocks out was fairly easy but getting the new ones installed was difficult. I ended up compressing the shock with a bar clamp and securing it with some tie wire. This made sliding the shock in from above the upper control arm possible. Once I got the shock in position I cut the wire loose and installed a bolt on the upper mount. Then with a pry bar I was able to get the schock in position to line up the bolt hole to the lower mount. Almost three hours to get it done. I figured it initially to take an hour maybe two hours at the most. Once I got the passenger side done it did not take me much time at all to do the drivers side. The ride is much improved.
