Unhappy 99 Blazer 4x4 Shimmy - Alignment??

My wife has a 99 Blazer 4x4. Recently had a lot of front end work done, U/L balljoints, idler arm, pitman arm. Had car aligned and then noticed that the car had a side to side shimmy. This was not a constant thing and not really bad, but noticeable. It did not do this before all the work and alignment. Actually, it rode better before!!

Took car back to mechanic to have him check it out, he said everything is good to go. Several other mechanics looked at it also and agreed.

One (ex GM mechanic that now owns his own shop) said that this was an alignment issue. So had it aligned again, but same problem.

Are they possibly using the wrong specs?

Anyone else experience this problem?

Also has new shocks.

NEED HELP!!!!!!

Funny how some problems only show up after routine maintenance.
Check out thread "vibration 60-70mph" possibly it has your answer.

Sorry to say, on Page 2 of the thread, it is revealed that CHEVY actually knows of the 60-70 mph vibration and is not willing to do anything about it. They seem to have built it into the car.

The original poster of the thread vibration 60-70mph recently posted that he fixed the problem with new REAR AXELS and REAR BEARINGS.

Possibly you are looking in the front end but it is actually in the rear. Blazers sure seem to have the wiggles.

I have suffered with alleged "bad tires" or unbalanced tires excuse for 4 years.
The above thread is a god send.

I personally find it curious that the rear axels being bent could cause such a common problem. .. how do they get bent anyway?

God bless
