ball joints?

i recently replaced the front end ball joints in my 2001 LS, and trust me, its a hell of alot cheaper to do it yourself. go buy some jacks, at least 2 to be ok, some stands, ball joints at autozone or advanced or oreilly , wherever, and take some time to do it yourself. you will be saving hundreds. im fortunite enough to be military and have access to the auto skill center on fort bragg, where they have every tool and lift immaginable. they can be a P.I.T.A. to do, but you will be saving hundreds doing so, money that can be turned around and put back into your blazer for other parts. like say maybe a new K&N cold air intake.... which will be my next investment into a mod.

I took my truck in for an alignment, which they couldn't perform as they said the ball joints are gone. $1264.44 for premium parts or $834.04 with cheap parts, 4 ball joints and an alignment. I just picked up new ball joints today for $175.........

Kinda what I thought but the previous owner paid for it, not me. I would have done it myself but I could tell that he wasn't the garage type.

130 is too much for a ball joint. even a MOOG ball joint through Oreillys is $68.99. and thats about as good as you can get. i went with the cheaper ones. Lower Ball Joints- $17 a pop. Tie Rod Ends- $50 +/- total. i do all the work myself tho, so dont have to pay for labor. and an idler arm shouldnt be anythin over $80. and thats shootin alittle high
