sway bar

sway bar
I just looked at my front left sway bar and was shocked that i had no bushings or bolt on it. It was just there unattached. My car is not driving any different and is not even noticeable on the highway. How much are bushings and bolt, and where is the best place to get them from. Also how hard are they to put in, it seems simple enough.

im not quite sure how difficult itll be ive never done mine, but i would strongly suggest useing polyurathane (sp?) bushings theyll give you much improved handling and they tend not to degrade over time like rubber bushings will. im not sure how much front sway bar bushings are, but check out sites like stylintrucks i know they carry them.

I just finished replacing mine, it's a very easy job to do, hardest part is taking of the old ones off, but thats done already for you. For both sides it cost me 15 bucks for the bolt and bushings

It will be under $20 for both sides. First take off the passenger side then put the new ones both in place before you tighten either down. This will make it easier then doing one side at a time then you would need leverage on the sway bar to get the second bolt in. Ask me how I know

Yes, very easy and very inexpensive.

I've got a '93 full size blazer 4WD and bought replacement Moog links. I finally got the old rusted ones out, but I can't get the long bolts to pass through the sway bar holes and then through the body frame.
Do I need to take the sway bar out first? Or do I need to jack the vehicle first? Will I then need to somehow compress the sway bar?
Thanks in advance.
