Default Front end noise

Have sound in front end of 97 Blazer that at first sounded like bearing noises (not a growl but like two metal sticks rolling together) when vehicle is moving. Changed hub bearing and still the noise continues. Listened further and it sounds like the sound occurs when in gear and accelerating, like something is loose on the right front side. Changed the vacuum actuator for the transfer case and still the noise. What could be next??

If it is a clicking noise from the rear/center more then it could be your Ujoints on the rear or front driveshafts. My rear ones just went out and I thought it was something bad with my transfer case. Also if there is a pretty good vibration while accelerating, this would also be a symptom of bad U joints. Good luck.

lennyblazer,

I had the u-joints replaced after I bought the truck 10 months ago and there is no vibration.
