How much work is it to replace ball joints?

i did mine myself took about 4 hours and i have never replaced ball joints until then. i would recommend air tools for the job

unless your like me and have to replace them every year, then they come off nice and easy haha

900$ is a bit on the high side, However i was quaoted 700$ for my 98 (all 4 BJ's plus alignment) so it could be on location where the more money is i guess...
I did Balljoints myself, I just asked my buddy the true quote on them so i had something to think about when i got greasy and started swearing at the truck

Yeah $900 seemed too high to me. Thank you all for your advise. I will be doing it myself. Im gonna wait till it warms up a bit here in NJ. I have to do it in the driveway cause i dont have a garage.

Just so you know if you wait to long your tires will wear uneven. But i understand the no garage thing it sux bad.
