Default 05 Blazer Lifts?

i have a 2005 Chevy Blazer 2dr 4X4.
Really wanna lift it. Only lift i can find that is reasonably priced is the Rough Country 2.5" lift. Found the BDS 5" lift but its way overpriced. Any suggestions or solutions to this problem? Would like to do like 6" but cant spend $2000 on a lift. unless ican think of something better i am going to do a 2.5" RC lift plus 2" body lift.
Anything will help.
Thanks

Check out my build thread for ideas. I wouldn't do the Rc lift again. 31's and a 2 inch body lift will work out well.

Yeah I just helped a friend remove the rough country lift from his blazer and later he told me he couldn't be happier. I just had to wait til after he got it aligned to get my six pack.

What goes into removing the 2.5" lift? What should I do about the front diff? This lift is tearing apart my truck and rc is ignoring my calls

The only challenge to removing it is that the mounting point for the diff is cut off to install the rc lift so you basically have to swap in a new/uncut front diff.

Leave the diff drop in, run a small crank with the rest of the components stock.

A suspension lift plus body lift is common set up and and will definitely look good.

The biggest lift for a cheap man like myself is the 2'' body and the 2.5rc or crank the front tbars and get shackles if you want to be really cheap. Next step up is either go for a rc 6'' lift or a 6'' superlift

HI! I´m from Chile and I want to buy for my 94 blazer the 2,5RC lift to fit 31´s, but i´ve heard so many people in this forum, internet and also in youtube (there is a video that shows it. you can see it in the second video at min 5:00 more clearly, he breaks the idler arm!!)

is this lift really that bad?? Maybe he made a mistake in the installation, but he is not the onlyone with problems with this lift.

I want to think that maybe with some DIY parts this lift can be upgraded and fix the problems, but i´ve never seen that in internet, maybe i have to search a little more.

The reason is that personally i dont like body lifts cause the frame shows very much and in offroad or sand, you always hit the bottom of the frame.

Had someone made this DIY parts, or discover the problem of this lift?? I ask you cause you´ve experienced with this lift.

Thank you all!!!
