Default Junkyard sway bar?

Hello I have a first gen 4x4 s10 Blazer and I'm not sure if i'd even want to go this route, but are there any other cars that GM or anyone I suppose has made that has a sway bar that will fit into my Blazer that I could use opposed to buying one new?

Front or rear? Why not just find one out of another blazer? I have both a front and rear sitting here but I'm not sure where you are located or if they would even be compatible between first and second gens.

Honestly I don't know very much about sway bars in Blazers. I understand their purpose to better link both sides of the car for grip, but I have been advised by people to get a sway bar to improve handling which to me implies that they don't come with one? I've never checked and no one has ever specified front or rear. Even on CARID all they have is a sway bar for the first gen, it doesn't specify wither it's for front or rear use. So if you'd like to fill me in that would be real awesome

It should have them from the factor front and rear. It's possible that all of your bushings need to be replaced along with your shocks and maybe a few other things. Post up a pic of your front suspension and also the rear axle and I can tell you if you still have away bars.

I can do that when I get back home in a week, I am replacing the struts and if the rust on my truck is fixable i'll be redoing the whole suspension in the car. Thanks a lot for the insight!

Hey not trying to thread hijack but will s10 truck torsion bars and sway bars fit in a 4 door blazer. I have the smooth ride suspension that's worn out and I would like to upgrade to some nice looking Z85 suspension parts

The Xtreme stuff is the best GM has to offer for the platform. Get both front and rear as they are ballanced to each other.

That might be helpful if he needed parts for a 2wd!

To answer the question yes you should be just fine to swap the z85 parts. Be sure to get the rear leaf springs as well.
