Popping noise on front end

Default Popping noise on front end
I have a 99 4.3 vortec v-6 4wd. I have a major popping noise on the front. it is worse in the winter than summer. What could it be? Is the sway bar and stabilizer bar the same thing?

my guess would be ball joints.

I have a noise that happens intermitantly when I am stopped. The engine may or may not be running. The noise sounds like a loud thump in the rear end. Any ideas of what is causing it?

lol when i comes to blazers and noises in the suspension....blame the ball joints cuz it usually is[8D]

i have the same problem, but it only happens when i pull away from a stop, turning. it'll be fixed soon though............hopefully.

my 2000 2 dr. 2wd does that, but only when I turn the wheel full-lock either direction.
