Default Torsion Bar Crank....help

Hey guys. Now Im not all excitited to go ruining my cv's, balljoints, etc by cranking my torsion bars. I am just wondering, If I crank the torsion bars what problems can I expect to encounter after the fact? I know i will need an aligment, but what else will happen?

Also...What should I do to jack the back the few other inches?
thanks

you can lessen the wear on the cv joints if you lower the front differential an inch or so if you cranked for 2--you can also grind down the droop stops a little on the a-arms to ease the topping out of the suspension, balljoints--upper balljoint can be flipped to the underside of the a-arm--that will save a bit of ball joint wear there---lower a arms there isnt much you can do other than getting a custom one made.....

anyone else?

oh and for the rear either got with shackles or re-arched springs

How do you lower front diff ???And to flip the balljoint , just take it off and put it upside down right?

Curious myself as I have the same truck and wanna do the same. I only want a couple inches front and back with no major money invested( Daily Driver)

yea the front differential isnt lowerable----well not easily---im scrapping that idea for my truck and just doing a 2' BL for now (my bars are cranked about 1.5") theres just more notching, welding and relocating than im willing to do right now.

as for the balljoints, do a search for replacing ball joints---but when you put the new one in put it in from the underside instead of from the top.

good luck and keep me updated on any ideas---I'm game for trying a few things myself

yea the only problem with lowering the front diff is that you would have to cut into the lower a-arm mount---and a few other suspension parts--not something im willing to do....yet

but if you can track down that bracket---im curious[8D]
