Backspace 15x7 or 15x8 wheels for 2000 Blazer ZR2
I want to change the original wheels on my all original 2000 Blazer ZR2 with 15x7 or 15x8 with wheels like the one the picture (15x7 AR Series D steel wheels, 4 inch backspace)
The thing is that with the original backspace there are noe "lip" on the rims at all.
I like a quite a bit of "lip" on the wheels on my cars so what backspace can i use/or should i go for?
I would not mind if the car looked like the one on the picture but i have no idea if the ZR2 is raised or if it is original except for the wheels

You want 6" of backspace, or as close as you can to 6". I've got 15X8's with 5.5" of bs with 32's right now. The Blazer in the picture looks to have 33's to me and a body lift like I have. Sure looks to me like he will rub with not to much flex. I will rub at max flex but minor rubbing.
Funny thing is, when I put on my stock rims with 33X10.5's I don't rub but with the 32X11.5's on the 15X8's I do.

Note that the ZR2 have a ladder type frame with modified mounting points, 100mm wider track (3.9 inches wider than regular S-10)
Increased ground clearance is approx 3" over the regular S-Series 4x4
I did a search on BLazer ZR2 with the "D" type wheels and found this car that says it have 1999 Blazer ZR2 with BLack Rock Crawler Wheels with 31x10.5-15 BF Goodrich All Terrain T-A tires
Here you can see that the wheels have a bit lip
It does not say anything if the car is lifted.or not and nothing about the backspace either
But if i use 6 inch backspace the wheels will not build outwards anything at all so there will be no "lip" on the rims
And i like to have a bit of "lip" on the wheels. The original 31x10.5-15 tire size is wide enough for me

Backspace 15x7 or 15x8 wheels for 2000 Blazer ZR2
Hi The Saint
I don't know if you got your Answer and I have 2 Vehicles I did something Similar,
My Son's first Vehicle A 2003 ZR-2 Pickup and Now his 2002 ZR-2 Blazer, both the same Clearance Issues.
The Stock Rim is 15 x 7 has a Backspace of 6" has the biggest Negative influence of what we are trying to do - Bigger Tires, Wider Stance.
The 6" Backspace gives only 1" of wheel Swing outside the "Arc" of the FWD and AFT Corners of the Lower Wheel Well.
That is why I had to do a Little Trimming on the Fender Flare's and Did a Modified "Key" Lift with a Small amount of Cranking and Rear Spring ReArc for the Blazer.
I put the 15 x 8" Wheels with a 5" Backspace, on his Truck, he had an Accident with the Truck so I got the Blazer to Reuse his Rock Crawlers and Rims.

Merry Christmas !

What are those wheels?
I have a ZR2 Blazer with the same aftermarket wheels, but can’t find a brand to order a 5th for the spare. I know this is an old thread, but on the off chance you see this (or anyone knows) it would be awesome to know the brand and model of those aftermarket wheels. Ion Alloy 179 is super close, but not quite the same.
