Possibly i had a 1992 sonoma with a 6 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift and i had 38's with plenty of room left i could have done 40's. Just measure your clearances. Its not difficult. Just take a look at every where you think your tires would rub and measure. Turn the wheels all the way to right and left.

The tires you want there will not fit on a factory rim you would have to get about a 9 inch wide wheel to accommodate that wide of a tire. The tires on my Sonoma were 38x15x12.5 and i had 8.5 inch wide wheels on mine

Spacers wont help your rim width. If you put 12.5 inch wide tires on 7 inch wide wheels, your gonna get some goofy *** tire wear, because it will pull the edge of the tires in and make the middle of the tread surface bulge out, and that with ruin your tires. Trust me you don't want to do that 35x15x12.5 tires aren't cheap. The only thing spacers will do is pull the wheel away from the hub and put your wheels further out to the sides of the truck. Spacers just give you more clearance away from the frame. Mine didn't have spacers and the wheels and tires that i put on, stuck out a good 4 inches from the fenders so i had to put fender flares on.

I guess ill just have to wait and see when I get them on, I have a pic of a blazer with 35's that fit well but I have no idea what kind of lift was on it

With a 3.5 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift you shouldn't have any issue with clearance. Where i would think you would have your issue is trying to mount those 12.5 wide tires to a 7 inch wide rim. Other than that i don't think you will have much of a problem.
