1969 blazer stalls driving and at idle sometimes
Ok, I got a 69 S-10 blazer 2door,262 v6,throttle body fuel inj. had thetruck for a hundred years with almost no major problems, but this problem is reocuuring alot to become concerned about, while driving the the motor just stalls,no sputtering, boggin, just dies, restarts with no problem within seconds, now the samething happens while waiting at a light, but again no problem to resart, we dont drive it alot, and rearly do any freeway drivin, anyway, any suggestions to pin point the problem, where should I start? I would appricate any suggestion..thanks all...

Do you mean 96 by any chance..? The correct year would help, but if the truck stalls without warning then im going to say the ignition switch. I had the same problem and the ignition switch is what fixed it (same with a lot of other people). What happens is ignition switch either gets hot or the contacts get corroded and stop sending power to the fuel pump.

year correction it is a 89' TB v6. now replaced the EGR valve and regulator, put a new battery,AC plugs (found oil on drvr side closest to the firewall plug), dont have the test tools to chk pressure, etc. it runs smoother, but it still stalls in traffic, when stopped, but restarts right up, (It runs rough, like it wants to die, at stops if the air off at idel,) what next?
