Default 1988 s10 blazer 4.3 4x4

Could some one point me in the right direction on replacing the ECM. I have removed the kick panel and have located the ECM. I found one screw on the bottom of the ECM and removed it. But the module still seems to be fastened some where else. Does the dash need to me removed? Should I just be able to work it out after removing the one screw?

Thanks for any help.

It's been over a decade since I replaced mine. Can't remember what I had to do but I did not need to remove the dash. Probably more than one screw.

You dont need to remove the dash. There should be 2 screws that hold it in. once the 2 screws are out, it will still not come out easy. You will need to unhook all the connections to the ECM and the TCCM since those wires do not have any slack at all. Once you get those unhooked, it should come out fairly easy.

but you definitely do not need to remove the dash.
