I'm no expert, but I think everything is too tied together for that to be a simple swap Seems like at the least you would have to come up with some kind of stand alone ignition. The transmission talks to the computer also, so maybe you need to swap in like a 700R4, or manual? Assuming yours has the 4L60E.

Keep in mind, I'm talking straight outta my rear end right now

Edit: why do you want to swap to a carb?

What's wrong with the fuel injection? Without any engine modifications and upgrades, I really doubt you'll make any more power with the carb, and you open up a whole box of worms with figuring out the transmission and ignition

Ignition is the easy part, it all goes back to old school without the hand full of sensors for the computer and has one switched positive wire to a old school HEI dist.
Bowtie Overdrives carries the kits - TV cable to carb, - solenoid's and such to non computer the trans if it's the 7004R

Yeah, I guess the ignition wouldn't be too hard to set up. 1994 would have had the 4L60E, though, I think.

You may be right.
My toy was built out of a 1992 GMC Jimmy and it has a 7004R
And I have checked into what he wants to do for my 4X4 RX7toy and if he buys all new parts for engine and trans he is looking at almost a Grand in cost
