1994 S-10 Blazer 4.3 Engine Coolant Temp Sensor
Heya all - I have a quick question in regards to a problem I've stumbled on while trying to get my blazer tuned up, fixed etc.
After replacing my water pump and various other parts I noticed that my coolant sensor was broke off, and thought no big deal I'll just replace it. Well the part came in today and when I went out to pull the old one out, and make sure this one would fit it, however the female adapter that plugs onto the sensor doesn't seem like it's the right one? The sensor its self has 2 small prongs- much like a . . and the connector that plugs onto it has two totally different looking prongs l - much like that. I was in no way going to try to brute force it on and whatnot. I did order from JCWhitney as I've never had any issues before, and didn't think I'd run into any problems.

The link above is the part I ordered, which I thought would work.
Am I doing something wrong? Because the "green" colored wire that connects to the sensor its self.. there is only 1 wire, with 2 connectors I'd figure there was supposed to be at least two?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

re:
Oh shoot, well I'll try to dig it up and see if I can't find it. Thanks a lot for the response, and it's nice to know there are two different types.
However for the sake of knowledge - this second type, is it normal for there to be only ONE (green) wire that goes to it?

There are two sensors one for the Gauge/light in the dash and one for the Computer. The one for the dash is a single wire and is located on the side of the head. The one for the Computer is by the water inlet at the top of the intake manifold. I believe that is a two wire connector.

Awesome guys, I appreciate the help! Yeah I was talking to a guy at advance auto and the part with the single prong is the Buy ACDelco Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Sensor 213-77 at Advance Auto Parts
Wish I'd have known there were two different ones hah, but it's not too terribly expensive.
