4.3L/V8 bolt patterns
I have a 1991, 2wd, 4door, S10-Blazer with the first gen (NOT VORTEC) TBI 4.3L in it. Now like 98% of all these trucks i have the 700R4 behind it currently, and like 98% of all owner's of these trucks i wanna bolt in a 5 speed.
Now research says the NV3500 came factory, but i want something a lil cheaper and more abundant like a T-5.
1. So my issue is: Is the transmission/bell housing bolt pattern on the 4.3 block THE SAME as the early v8 block they were modeled after??
2. Will v8 bellhousings, and other trans parts bolt up to the block??
3. OR will a second gen T5 bolt up to the first gen motor??
Any and all info is greatly appreciated

Yes,they are the same bolt patterns.
The t-5 is weak, unless its the world class model which came on the camaros in the early 90s. A nv3500 came on these blazers stock, and will hold up to your 4.3 without a issue, ive seen a fair share of em at the pick it yard for less then 150 bucks.

Now on another note, i know some second gen blazers, (mostly 4x4) came with t-5's bolted up. but is the vortec block the same bolt pattern the same as the first gen i have??
