Is your e-brake stuck? I've had that happen to my 94 and ended up having to remove the brake and cable

Auto or standards trans, Might be getting slipping in the auto trans, If its auto try changing the fluid and add Lucas. Did wonders in my 86 S10 pickup

Mine shifted fine also, Just feels like a cat is pushing your car. I think the Lucas transmission fix was the only thing that ever worked as a fix in a Fluid lol

well since we are talking about the trans. this may not have nothing to do with it but i know its very hard to pull the shifter down into 4 wheel drive.. it will go but its hard to pull the shifter.. im very new to the 4x4 so could it be a fluid thing with that also

Make sure your transfer case is not in 4 high. Check all fluid levels including t-case and diffs for anything out of ordinary. You may have a trannyshop (more than one) test drive the vehicle and give you their opinion. Any check engine light activity? I know its older but maybe scan the computer for any codes. Catalytic converter clogged maybe? Bad gas? Did this just start one day or did it come on slowly?
