Default 93 s10 blazer project

Hey everyone, I'm new here and Ineed some advice witha project I'm currently working on.
I have a 93 s10 blazer with a4.3 vortec v6. The truckis fully loaded p/w p/l tilt steering and it's a 4 door but the rear door handles are shaved. It'slowered 2" in the front and 2.25" in the rear, however I plan on dropping it another inch on both ends eventually. It has anoldschool s10 chrome grill and there is no rust on the body as the truck was totally redone. I planto buy rims & give it a good paint job soon. Oh and the scoops are ugly..I will be taking those off.

I have an issue though, the piston seals inthe motor are worn which is causing it to burn oil... this only started a few months ago-it was just etested in August and passed. So excuse my ignorance, butthere anything I can do to fix this besides rebuilding the motor/replacing it?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Here's a pic..

It is a 1st gen 4dr blazer. The S10 designation was dropped in 95 when the fullsize Blazer became the 2dr Tahoe. The S/T use was the difference between 2wd and 4wd respectively. History lesson over.

To the OP, what are you referring to when you say piston seals? There are piston rings and then there are valve seals.

The condition of the piston rings can be assessed by performing a compression test on the motor. If this proves to be your problem, then a rebuild of the motor is in order.

Valve seals can be replaced, with the appropriate tools, by simply pulling the valve covers, rockers, spring retainers, and springs. The appropriate tools are an air hose adapter to pressurize the cylinder which will hold the valve closed while you use a valve spring compressor (screw on type) to compress the spring, allowing you to remove the valve locks.

*Moving to 1st Gen Tech* - Tech question belong in the appropriate tech section.
