Question Cold Air Intake on 94' CPI Vortec?

I know this has probably been asked a million times before, but is there a cold air intake that fits the 4.3 liter cpi vortec with the oil filter in front of the headlight? or am I just out of luck with it..

The previous owner of mine pieced together one of the pep-boys cold air intakes on mine, doesn't look half bad either. Its definetly possible. I'm not sure if anyone makes one, but if there was an off the shelf kit I'd bed K&N would make it.

I haven't found one yet that will fit off the shelf. But basically if I got the right materials I could fabricate one up and it would work just fine right? I'm gonna go down to the parts store to check out some materials now actually! haha

I can take a picture of mine tomorrow if you'd like..it angles towards the oil filter if you can picture it.

I'm not sure if theres a noticable gain from it, since I did buy the truck with that already on there. You can't see but the IAT sensor is located inside the rubber boot that connects the tubing to the intake manifold, at the bottom. The previous owner drilled a hole so it would slide in there yet be air tight. Not sure what size that should be.

im guessing that intake setup decreases performance, with the location of the filter and having no heatshield the motor is sucking in nothing but hot air and thats not a good thing.
