Default e2se to 2se???

85 s10 blazer, does anyone know how to changing the carb from e2se to 2se i know the 2se doesnt have the fuel mixture solenoid i think thats the only differance. so would that effect it in any way not having it hooked up using a 2se carb?

Default 2se to e2se carb conversion?

hey everyone! im new here just bought a blazer a week ago and having carb trouble. i have the cali emissions and need a e2se carb but cant find any would it be fine to just get a 2se and swap a new fuel mixture solenoid in it, to convert. would that work? or just throw the 2se carb on it and not plug in the fuel mix solenoid...ide assume ide have to put in a vacum advance dist then and pull out the 02 sensor and air pump..i dont need to pass smog im moving next week...any help would be appreciated thank you.

not sure on the E2SE and 2SE Designation.

Sure if you dont have to worry about emissions then I'd say put on what ever you'd like.

a 2bbl Carb available for Marine will work just fine too,

But even a good 500CFM Holley 2BBL would be great

there are some 4bbl intake manifolds out there too

As you know you'll need a Vac advance distributor

No need to pull the O2 sensor. You can remove the air pump if you want, just plug the holes on the exhaust manifold.

you may have to T up a few Vac connections.

You will need to connect a KEY ON 12v+ conneciton to the DIST

ya so come to find out the e2se and the 2se carb are the same minus the fuel mix solenoid, so really all i have to do is swap the fuel mix solenoid in it and done e2se carb. 350 bucks = new carb and piece of mind..i guess...lol..like kainon said if i go with just the 2se ide have to put in vacuum advance dist and the +12volts. correct me if im wrong but when i do away with the electric advance and fuel mix solenoid, that makes the ecm usless right?....no big deal not to hard but i do still have to make the drive out of cali, and they dont mess around here when it comes to emissions.

though the bottom half could look the same, the passages required might not be drilled or open. Only way to know is to remove and dissasemble both.

ps.. found this.. OUCH!!! $$444 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WEBER...Q5fAccessories

Theres a Carb Shop in Pelham NH Called HOBB's Carburetor, give them a call. couldn't hurt.
