Help needed! sos
I have a 1989 S15 jimmy 4.3 TBI 4x4 that i bought offa a guy, the engine and everything was out, i had to install the engine and figure out everything on my own, now i need some help and advice for someone who knows about these whips, does anyone have any pictures of the vaccum lines on these things? i dont know exactly where the vaccum line that goes to the map sensor goes. And if my Map senser vaccum line isnt connected, would that not allow the engine to start?

Go to autozone.com and sign up for their garage. Then search on their site: vacuum diagrams. On that results page you will find on the 3rd column it says repair diagrams, click that and then you'll find it there. some very helpful information.
And yes, the MAP sensor is very important. It needs to be hooked up and on mine, 2.8L it has its own port on the TBi.
Remember, this is basic, it may not show 4x4 on the image. It should "t" with a few other things like HVAC. Check the link in my signature (bottom of post) and in that link there is pics of a Blazer/Jimmy without the body with engine and tranny. You could get a small feel for lines on that too.
