i was gonna buy both of theses and use them together but i didnt kno if they were compatible or not so i contacted a guy at K&N and he said technically i could do it but it would make it illegal for smog? wtf is smog and how does anyone kno i have both of them under my hood unless they open it and check?

 

I would check the K&N website to see about CARB approval, but really only if you live in CA... I don't see how an air filter would cause a vehicle to fail smog... Although I don't know if it is necessary to get both of them...
