Just grabbed the truck a couple months ago and i've been gradually chipping away at the small stuff. So far i've done the heater core (think I got the hoses switched around, last owner had it bypassed so I had nothing to go on), brakes, front right hub, new Yoko Geolanders, speakers, wired in some rear speakers, plugs, (looking for an original filter box). Last night I swapped a busted door handle, and plan on doing 2 window motors this weekend. Next on my list is tracking down the short circuit causing my fuel filter to peg out every time i turn the key, then tracking down cargo door handle parts so i can use it as well as getting the rear window heater/ washer sprayer to work. and at some point figure out whats keeping my front sprayer from working. Those are the issues that I know of as of right now, any other important and common issues I need to keep an eye out for? Whatever I do i'm doing it right with brand new parts regardless of the cost, plan on having it restored before my boy gets his license. Only restriction is I have a day at a time sporadically to work in between class and homework.
