Hello Blazer Forum, Ive found a lot of great help on this sight for my old s10. But the sister totalled it and now we have a 94'. Hence THe name haha. Well anyway, i cant really find exactly whats up with this new truck.

IT looks great- runs good. 94' 4.3 Automatic 4x4 4dr power everything.

It was thursday.. sounded like a shotgun fired and it bogged dowwn. Did it a few times so I popeed off the air filter and disconnected the plug of the air intake hose right near the manifold. And racing the engine, the problem went away.

I put it all back together and brought it to the shop. the SES light went out and he scanned it for me. Came up with Code 23. He told me to replace the IAC valve. So i swapped in a brand new one. Ran pretty good until this afternoon when my father was driving it, same thing. Loud bang and bogging down. I told him to take out the plug in the air intake hose and he made it home iwth no problems. I checked it out, and its idling really rough. Give it gas and it sounds like its going to die.

What else should I try to remedy code 23? Thanks in advance, I know all of you are pretty damn good with these trucks. And i love them so ill be here for a long while.
