mystery hose found.still having probs
Found my mystery hose. It goes to some sort of acctuator for the tranny. The acctuator is under the battery and the nipple is on the udnerside of the acctuator itself. Kind of hard to see.
Spent the last week working on this beast and read through most of the posts that are similar. Heres were I'm at now though.
Changed spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor
Installed new fuel, air filter and pcv
Pulled the IAC, cleaned and ohm checked, its good
Cleaned throttle body valve
Pulled EGR, blew out and cleaned carbon. Pindle moves freely
Checked all the vaccum lines no bad ones found.
With all that done I just took it for a test drive. The idle is not as bad as before, but on initial accleration it kind of bogs down and then kicks up and takes off like a rocket. Runs fine at speed.
Last code I got was a 45.. No codes now but just in case how do you disconnect the wires from the intake manifold O2 sensors. I just pulled on the white cover cap and it didn't budge so I didn't want to force it off.
Got a bis *** test on monday for my EMT class and I am spending all my study time trying to fix this POS, I am almost ready to hook it up to an AED and zap the s&*! out of it. So any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank
Geoff

RE: mystery hose found.still having probs
Sounds like the mystery hose is a vacuum hose for your front axle. It gets hooked up the the actuator under the battery.
The 02 sensor, some a squezze clip on the sensor itself, and others have a inline harness. Make sure they are not corroded.
I didn't notice if you changed your fuel filter.
