need help with instrument panel!!!
 

here's my prob....all of the gauges don't work except the battery and gas ones.....even the milage one doesn't work....maybe a wiring problem??...not to sure....also, my right turn signal will not work when the headlights are on....works fine with them off....also works when i turn the 4-ways on.....o yea...it's a '89 s-10 4.3L.....so if any of you can help please let me know.....thanx in advance

id start with checking all the fuses. it may be as simple as that.

Worst case scenario (that I can think of)....you'll have to buy a new cluster.

Actually the cluster isn't that big of a deal. I replaced my 94 Blazer's with one from Digital Dash Solutions in Conn. and it was upgraded, guaranteed and $125.00 exchange. Made it from there to my doorstep on about 3 days (I paid the extra $7.00 to upgrade the shipping). Changing it out is a piece of cake too. The guy advertises on e-bay. His name is Carl and I thought he's a pretty cool dude. No hassles. Worked like he said it would. I did have to change rge coolant temp sensor for the gauge, but that wasn't his problem. Everyone looks at these things and for some reason ot scares them to death. Did me too. I just didn't have any choice but it was an easy fix, Took a couple of hours. Cost me another $15.00 to ship mine back ro him.

I'm about to change my cluster out too. Was pulling the dash apart difficult?

No dash is easy. I believe there is a thread on here somewhere but its pretty easy. 4 bolts under steering wheel, 2 when you pry that down, the bezel comes off then 4 bolts around the cluster. You may wanna check out that thread tho.

Here are complete instrctions on how to take it out. This comes from the guy on e-bay. I can tell you from experience it's a piece of cake. Just go slow and watch out that you don't lose any heater/ac parts. http://home.comcast.net/~digital_das...formation.html
