Default obd 1.5 scanner

This is an informational post on the dreaded obd 1.5 scanner nightmare. The actron CP9145 definitely will read the codes on the 95 blazer 1.5. Unfortunately it does not do ABS or Airbags but it will read the PCM. I bought one for my daughter's 95 Jimmy and it works great. I paid about $135 a few years ago from the internet. Hope this helps anyone with these PIA vehicles. Frank

Default Actron CP9145 cable

Just bought on on eBay for $40 bucks. Will I need an adapter cable for this? If so, what cable? 1995 Blazer is Certified OBD1 with OBD2 connector under dash.

Hey Pete. My 95 Jimmy has the OBD2 connector which this scanner has. As you know this scanner will read the OBD1 program through the OBD2 DLC. It will plug right in and away you go.Glad to help. Frank.

***UPDATE***
The Actron CP9145 worked perfectly in pulling my 1995 Blazer codes! ...and it did come with the serial to ODBII (OBD2) connector! It won't read my girlfriends 2007 Jeep, but I have another scanner for that.

Thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction.
