Question Power Window Off-Range

Common issue in an uncommon way...

Power windows were working fine...but up until I left the driver's side cracked open while closing the door about a week ago. Now, it only goes down about 2/3" when opening and tries to keep going up past the end of the window when closing! Get a loud knocking when I raise up and softer when lowering down --assume thats the teeth of the regulator slipping in the motor gear

Took the door panel off:
- Tracks on either side were free and clear of obstruction
- I can hear the motor working, and it raises and lowers that little bit just fine
- Window seems secure in the sash, no broken clips
- Felt around and everything seems greased appropriately

Searched through the forum a bit to see if I could find an answer. Closest I came was https://blazerforum.com/forum/1st-ge...uestion-68388/ but didn't really end up giving me an answer.

Basically, wondering whether there's anyway to reset the range of motion of the regulator/motor without replacing the whole thing. Seems like a shame to spend $110 on an assembly if I don't hafta.

Appreciate the help.
