Skid Plates for First Gen??
I searched and can't find anything... I'm THE GUY who makes metal oil pan skid plates for the GMT360's (on the Trailvoy forum), but I just got an '89 S-10 Blazer, and looking underneath it, it doesn't look like there is a whole lot of choice as to where to mount the rear of a skid plate... Does anybody make one for this vehicle?
Thanks,
Mike

im not sure as to what you're reffering to. some came stock with a stump guard type plastic thing that went from underneath the bumper b/t the frame rails and bolted onto the bottom of the front crossmember

I've got the plastic one under the radiator, but I'm talking about realskid plates like the newer models have, that cover the oil pan, front diff, transmission, and transfer case... Does anybody make them, or where they an option from the factory/dealer?
Thanks,
Mike

Some 4x4s had them but they are a weak aluminum. I've never seen any aftermarket ones.

Ah... Even the weak aluminum ones are fine with me, because I am not looking to use them as rock sliders or anything, but I'd rather not have a tree branch catch the cable that goes to the bottom of the front diff to engage the 4WD... I suppose I'll just make something out of 3/16" aluminum at work or something... Cut it to fit, and have the break operater put a 2" flange on the back of it for a little bit of strength...
